Football Funds: NFL Edition

We took a bye week last week, but started out of the gates with a 2-1 and a small profit. This week has already started out wild with the Titans and Steelers getting postponed due to a COVID outbreak in Tennessee. We still have football and I'm still going to try and get us some wins!

YTD Record:

NFL: 2-1 +0.9 units

NCAA: 3-0 +2.5 units

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers

Line: Arizona -3 Over/Under 51

I thought the Cardinals finally took the step from pretender to contender, but then they go and have a head scratching loss to the Lions last week. I think Kyler Murray and the boys bounce back here on the road against a Panther team coming off a win against the Chargers last week. Budda Baker is out for the Cards secondary and I like what Teddy Bridgewater and Robby Anderson have been doing through the air. I expect a shootout in Charlotte, so give me the over in this one for a unit.

Pick: Over 51 (1 unit)

Baltimore Ravens @ Washington Football Team

Line: Baltimore -15 Over/Under 45.5

The Ravens and Lamar Jackson got embarrassed on Monday night against the Chiefs. I usually fade out of conference, out of division road favorites, as I've found they have let downs as it really doesn't effect the playoff races. Not this week! The Ravens are going to be a pissed off bunch headed to Washington, The Football Team has given up 17, 30, and 34 respectfully and are going to be without Chase Young. Lamar Jackson isn't going to take being clowned all week lying down and I expect an MVP caliber performance and for the Ravens to run over, through, and around Washington in this one.

Pick: Baltimore Team Total over 29.5 (2 units)

There are this weeks picks, lets hope this week isn't a sign of things to come around the league with cancelled games and viral outbreaks, but nothing in 2020 is normal. Lets get these wins and move on to next week!

Why we shouldn’t be depressed about the ALCS loss

Now I am not going to pretend that I was in a good mood after that performance by the Red Sox last night, or Wednesday night. I’m not going to pretend that it’s not disappointing to come so close and
