Took a little COVID break last week, as it has really thrown off my pick process. We went unconventional last time with three team totals and went 1-2 with -.60 units loss and our first negative week so far. Lets bounce back this week and get back into the win column!

Temple @ Tulane
Line: Tulane -4 Over/Under 58.5
The high flying Temple Owls come into New Orleans licking their wounds after taking a loss from Memphis last week. Tulane heads back home after taking UCF to the wire last week - which has been the story of their whole season - close but no cigar. Neither of these teams can stop a nose bleed. Tulane has given up 49, 37, and 44 in the last three and Temple has given up 31, 37, and 41. The offenses will put on a show down in the bayou and I expect this one to easily hit 60, so give me the over for a unit.

Indiana @ Rutgers
Line: Indiana -11 Over/ Under 54
What a win for the Hoosiers last week! The game had everything including a literal photo finish. Mike Penix Jr. with his Go-Go Gadget arm barely got the tip of that football to the pylon. Rutgers is a sneaky team this year as Greg Schiano is back at the helm and has loaded up on JUCO talent and they came out of the gates strong last week against Michigan State. This may be the sucker bet of the week, as Michigan State just isn't that good and Indiana has a dynamic offense that will challenge Rutgers. However, I LOVE the classic letdown/look ahead situation here for Indiana as they come off that huge Penn State win and have Michigan on deck. Rutgers gets the sneaky cover...I think?
Pick: Rutgers +11 (.5 units)
Appalachian State @ UL- Monroe
Line: Appalachian State -31 Over/Under 55.5
Since losing to Marshall, the Mountaineers have really found their groove, lacing Campbell and Arkansas State. They now get the woeful UL-Monroe Warhawks. I expect Appalachian State to lay the wood here. But will they take their foot off the gas? I don't know, so I cant lay the 31 here. The 0-6 Warhawk defense has given up at least 35 in every contest this year and The Mountaineers need this tune up. Appalachian State should cover this over by themselves, but hopping out to a big lead and then letting off is why I'll keep this to a half unit play.
