Week five got us a couple more wins and ran our record to 5-0, lets see if we can keep the momentum rolling into a jammed packed week six. We have a lot of ranked versus ranked matchups, but here at football funds we like to watch the big ones for later and fly under the radar and grab a few wins, so let's see if we can find some!

Florida State @ Notre Dame

The once proud Seminoles have fallen on real hard times, getting absolutely embarrassed on national television against the rival Miami Hurricanes. Then last week they go down 14-0 to Jacksonville State, throw in the opening week loss to an average Georgia Tech squad and you have a team that's just not that good. Notre Dame has looked good so far, but no matter how bad the Noles have looked they still have more talent than Duke and USF. Florida State wont want to be embarrassed again on national TV, so I don't like the spread and the over is tempting but I can't trust the Noles to hold up their end, but I do see the Irish and Ian Book dropping 40 on a defense that gave up 24 to Jacksonville State and 52 to Miami.

Temple @ Navy
Line: Temple -3.5 Over/Under 50.5
The Midshipmen have looked lost so far this year taking it on the chin from BYU in week one, scraping by Tulane in week two and then getting smacked in a rivalry game to Air Force last week. The Owls have been sidelined with their opening schedule wrecked by COVID. Temples offense should be explosive with almost all of it coming back intact. However, the defense is another story. The triple option is tough to defend but the Owls have had the luxury of long preparation and should be able to slow it down enough to let their powerful offense take care of business.
Pick: Temple -3.5 (.5 unit)
There is too much weather and too much uncertainty down south for another game I liked and some weird line moves in a few of the major games, so just two this week. Lets hope we can keep the streak going and cash some tickets! Keep on the look out for Football Funds: NFL Edition this week.
