Football Funds: College Football Edition

Week 4 of college football and finally the big boys are ready to play! The SEC begins their all-conference, no cupcakes schedule, and man what a ride that's going to be! The news of the Big 10 coming back in the middle to end of October has really jolted the season back to life. Football funds are ready for it! Let dive into week 4 and see if we cant find you guys some winners!

YTD Record:

NFL: 2-1 +0.9 units

NCAA: 0-0 +/- 0 units

Tennessee @ South Carolina

Line: Tennessee -3 Over/Under o43.5

Let us start in the SEC with two programs I feel are headed in the opposite direction. Tennessee is the team on the upswing. The Vols return Jarrett Guarantano at QB, which I'm not sold on, but what I am sold on is Eric Gray and his 5.3 yards per carry average behind a veteran offensive line. The Vols also return almost their entire defense that ranked 23rd nationally last year and is lead by a great linebacking corp. South Carolina on the other hand is on the downswing with Will Muschamp, who I think is one of the most overrated head coaches in the country. They have a new QB in Collin Hill and a new offensive coordinator in Michael Bobo. The defense will be its usually good self as that is Muschamps forte. Going on the road and winning in the SEC is never an easy task, but I like the Vols here with the better offensive line and running game to grind one out against a team breaking in a new QB and offensive coordinator in a weird offseason.

Pick: Tennessee -3 (1 unit)

Campbell @ Appalachian State

Line: Appalachian State -35.5 Over/Under 51.5

I have nothing but respect for the Campbell Camels, as they are taking on all comers after having most of their schedule postponed due to the pandemic. They have looked ok against Georgia Southern and Coastal Carolina but they are taking a step up in competition against the Mountaineers. Appalachian State comes in after losing on the road to Marshall and getting bounced from the top 25. I like the Mountaineers to explode on offense after being held to just 7 last week and the Camels will score enough to push this over 51.5.

Pick: Over 51.5 (1 unit)

Houston Baptist @ Louisiana Tech

Line: Louisiana Tech -23.5 Over/Under 68.5

The Houston Baptist Huskies? Does this guy want to put money on a Houston Baptist Huskies game?! Well, the pandemic has had me watching ANY and all college football and the Huskies have caught my eye. They have scored 31 in an opening week loss to North Texas and 33 in taking Texas Tech to the wire two weeks ago. they have a fun offense that will sling the ball all over the field and put up points against anyone. Louisiana Tech always has a high powered offense and face a Huskies defense that has given up 53 and 35. Let's have a shootout in Ruston and cash this over!

Pick: Over 68.5 (.5 unit)
