Graeme's Predictions
Kansas State @ 3 Oklahoma
Game Time: 12:00 pm EST
Venue: Memorial Stadium - Norman, OK
Network: FOX
Line: Oklahoma -28.5
Kansas State is looking to win 2 in a row against Oklahoma, something they haven't done since 1997. I expect Spencer Rattler to be excellent once again. He is averaging 290 yards and 4 TDs a game. Yes, you read that right, 290, and 4 TDs per game! Kansas State's secondary has been concerning since week 1's matchup against Arkansas State, as they were able to do virtually anything they wanted with their air raid attack. I do not expect Oklahoma to have the same hiccup they did last year. I expect a fairly comfortable and routine victory from the Sooners.
Prediction: 52-25 Oklahoma
Vanderbilt @ 10 Texas A&M
Game Time: 7:30 pm EST
Venue: Kyle Field - College Station, TX
Network: SEC Network
Line: Texas A&M -30.5
The 10th ranked Aggies are looking to start their 2020 campaign with a bang. Vandy was the laughing stock of the SEC last year. They struggled to average 14 points a game, so don't expect them to come out guns blazing. Texas A&M's defense has tremendous upside and you can expect them to feast on the Vandy O-Line. Vanderbilt is starting everything over on the offense, so you will see a lot of new faces if you were watching Vandy last year (You probably weren't). It will take a while for their offense to gel, you see that with any team that has 10 new starters. With that being said, I am taking Texas A&M to start the season 1-0 with an emphatic win over the Commodores.
Prediction: 41-17 Texas A&M
Florida State @ 12 Miami
Game Time: 7:30 EST
Venue: Hard Rock Stadium - Miami, FL
Network: ABC
Line: Miami -11
The Florida State-Miami rivalry has not failed us in the past so expect a hard-fought game. Florida State fell against Georgia Tech, who exposed every weakness in their offensive line. They allowed 3 sacks and 6 tackles for loss in that game. For Miami, they have one of the strongest defensive lines they have had in years. Miami quarterback D'Eriq King is the real deal. He had over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns against a ranked Louisville squad last week. Not many things are pointing in favor of the Seminoles, so it would take a tremendous game from James Blackmon if they were to pull the upset.
Prediction: 34-21 Miami
Logan's Predictions
5 Florida @ Ole Miss
Game time: 12 pm EST
Venue: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium - Oxford, MS
Network: ESPN
Line: Florida - 14.0
Florida and Ole Miss will begin the season for the SEC Saturday in Oxford. The Gators are coming into the game ranked 5th and will have to come out strong against the Rebels to keep that spot. The Gators Junior QB, Kyle Trask has lots of potential and he will show that off on Saturday as the Gators defeat the Rebels while easily beating the spread.
Prediction: 38-7 Gators
23 Kentucky @ 8 Auburn
Game time: 12 pm EST
Venue: Jordan-Hare Stadium - Auburn, AL
Network: SECN
Line: Auburn - 10.5 The Kentucky vs Auburn game will display a couple of the most hyped-up teams in the SEC. Both teams enter Saturday ranked in the top 25 although I believe only one will end the week that way. The Tigers will get an early lead from their strong offense and standout QB, Bo Nix. Their defense will top it off by shutting down the Wildcats and putting them out of the game by halftime.
Prediction: 41-21 Auburn
Louisville 24 @ 21 Pittsburgh
Game time: 12 pm EST
Venue: Heinz Field - Pittsburgh, PA
Network: ACCN
Line: Pittsburgh - 3.0
The Louisville vs Pittsburgh game is one of three ranked vs ranked games of the weekend and it will be an exciting one! The game is in Pittsburgh giving Pitt a slight advantage. Lousiville is coming off of a tough loss to Maimi while Pitt won against Syracuse. Pittsburgh will carry their undefeated season through 3 games with a close win vs. Louisville.
Prediction: 24-20 Pittsburgh
Davis's Predictions
West Virginia @ 15 Oklahoma State
Game Time: 3:30 pm EST
Venue: Boone Pickens Stadium - Stillwater, OK
Network: ABC/ESPN
Line: Oklahoma State -7
Oklahoma State has one of the toughest defenses in the Big 12 with 10 returning starters from last year and only allowing 7 points in a lackluster win over Tulsa, 16-7. The question heading into this game is who is starting at quarterback for the Cowboys? No word yet but it is said that Spencer Sanders has a high ankle sprain and is likely out Saturday so that means we get to see true freshman Shane Illingworth play a full game. Expect a close game to start as West Virginia is not a bad team but Oklahoma State has too much power on offense.
Prediction: 31-17 Oklahoma State
Mississippi State @ 6 LSU
Game Time: 3:30 pm EST
Venue: Tiger Stadium - Baton Rouge, LA
Network: CBS
Line: LSU -16.5
The start of LSU's season is going to be shaky, to say the least with a new OC, QB, multiple D-backs, and wideouts along with Coach Orgeron saying "most of the team has had the coronavirus." With that being said, this team seems like it hasn't been on the field at the same time for a while and this game might turn out close because of it. I'm very excited to see The Pirate, Mike Leach, in the SEC with his air-raid attack but, it might take a few years for Mississippi State to fulfill that system for Leach. I have LSU winning but don't be surprised if the Bulldogs can keep the game close until the end.
Prediction: 38-24 LSU
22 Army @ 14 Cincinnati
Game Time: 3:30 pm EST
Venue: Nippert Stadium - Cincinnati, OH
Network: ESPN
Line: -13.5 Cincinnati
This game is one of the three games that are a Top-25 matchup and it is very intriguing and will be a good game to watch. Cincinnati is coming off of a 55-20 win over Austin Peay last week with an impressive showing in the first three quarters by the starting defense only allowing 2 field goals. Army is one of the few teams that are 2-0 and is now ranked #22. With a total of 3 completions for 57 yards in the first two games through the air, expect the Black Knights to use the ground most of the game. If Cincinnati can stop the ground game, this game will be over quickly with the Bearcats fast, high-powered offense.
Prediction: 37-17 Cincinnati
